Pearl Celebration

Western Quilters Circle was founded in 1984 by an enthusiastic group of quilters.
This year marked the 30th anniversary of the Guild.
To celebrate the committee decided we should have a function.
The four members of the Pearl Party Preparation (PPP) of Jo, Claire, Lynne T & Liz W
got together to organise the event.
On the 5th July at the Oratia Bowling Club past and present members gathered
for a spit roast dinner and to catch up with old and new friends.
The Bowling Club decorated with balloons and bunting quilts.
One of the 2 bunches of flowers.  One presented to first President, Julia O'Connell
and second to present President, Jean Ramsay.
